Pevsner describes St Mary Burwell as ‘The most perfect example in the county [Cambridgeshire] of the Perp ideal of the glasshouse…a feeling of great spaciousness’. In 2015 the Sunday Communion service draws a congregation of about 20; about 60 meet for the main service. Yesterday the physical beauty was complemented by a warm welcome and an immediate offer of tea and coffee.
