On 24th February on BBC2’s The Spice Trail, Kate Humble met the people from Indonesia, who have rebuilt their lives and communities around the cultivation and trade of nutmeg and cloves. In Ternate the islanders used blue ropes to work high in the trees picking cloves. See blog 28th January 2011.
