Cambridge U3A Photography Forum

Further to the post on 11th March 2017, Tim Ewbank has submitted a proposal to the Cambridge U3A for a Photography Forum.

‘This new class is built on the experience of previous U3AC photography courses & that of members who are in local camera clubs. The aim of the forum is to provide at interactive, inclusive environment in which members who enjoy photography can all participate. There will be opportunity to take part in themed photo challenges (optional), discuss your own work and that of acknowledged photographers. We will try to determine “what makes a good photograph?” and discuss photography as a serious art form. I hope to be able to attract external speakers and arrange outings, but this rather depends on the interests of the group. What it will not be is a “how to” course on the technicalities of specific cameras (although there may be opportunities to “buddy up” with someone with the same kit).  Primarily the objective is to evolve a sustainable class format that works for all participants.’
