Covid 19 Day 72 2nd June 2020

This is an exception to my rule of not writing about Covid 19 posts.  Today’s picture is Tomato from the Colour Blind Garden – Tribute to Charles Jones.  Jones (1866–1959) was a gardener at Great Ote Hall in Sussex, who photographed produce from the estate garden around 1895 to 1910.  Five hundred of his gold toned prints were found by Sean Sexton at Bermondsey Market in 1981.  Some of Jones’s photographs were to be included in Unearthed: Photography’s Roots at the Dulwich Picture Gallery – the show has been postponed because of the C19 crisis.
