Flatiron Building, 1902, architect Daniel Burnham. The one building I most wanted to see on my two-day trip to New York. It didn’t disappoint, though my photograph does. All the classic shots show a slightly more oblique view from the left, which works so much better. Next time….

Welcome back, can’t imagine that you failed to have a good trip to such an exciting location!
It is a difficult building to photograph, but I think this does capture its unique grandeur. The only photo I’ve got of it were taken long before digital and I have no idea where the negatives are!
Thanks, Roy, nice to know that it’s not a total dud – but would love to go back and work harder on it. How long since you were in New York? Amazing place.
