Venice – Burano

Do the people of Burano see themselves as Venetians?  I suspect not, but the half-hour vaporetto ride to the island is part of the essential Venice experience for many visitors to la Serenissima. Burano is much quieter, tidier, smaller and more domestic in scale than its big brother.  It is also very colourful, a rich kaleidoscope of pastel and primary shades.  Is showing it here in black and white perverse?
