Dropped into the Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition at Somerset House yesterday. Some excellent work and all never less than interesting. Mitch Dobrowner’s large and immaculate classic black and white storm chaser pictures were the wholly justified overall winners. I also liked Simon Norfolk’s ‘narcotecture’ from Kabul and the surreal documentary of Andrew McConnell’s Gaza Surf Club. That said the small William Klein retrospective downstairs put much of the work into perspective and in the shade.
On the way there I saw this extraordinary silver Chinese suit.
