Atavistic

What is one to think about foxes?   Wilde had a culinary view of them: “The English country gentleman galloping after a fox – the unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible.”  For hen-keepers they are more than inedible, they are murderous villains.  And more maybe: “6 June 2010 Two baby twin sisters are seriously ill in hospital after being attacked by two foxes at their family home. www.telegraph.co.uk.”  But they are also beautiful and a reminder that our bland agri-deserts in the east of England are not as tamed as we think.  Atavistic spirits of wilder days to be respected.  (See previous post.)
