Cross

Carl de Keyzer photographed the KKK in Hico, Texas, where he was fortunate (?) enough to photograph ‘one of their rare cross burnings or rather “cross lightings”, as the cross is a shining beacon for a world astray’. (Magnum Contact Sheets)  The irony on the part of the Klan is presumably entirely unintentional.
