Beechwood Colours

leaves-161121It has been a glorious year for autumn colours and the trees in the Beechwoods have turned into beacons of flaming gold above a rich russet carpet.  When I visited on the 13th a flock of pigeons broke cover from the canopy in a muted whoosh and sent a confetti of golden leaves fluttering down.  On the 19th the rising sun set the trees alight.  Sticking to the self-imposed discipline of B&W film for the Beechwoods project I shall have to wait to see how this spectacle is rendered on a monochrome scale.  I satisfied a desire to capture the colour by collecting leaves.
