I wasn’t sure whether to post this picture under fen landscape or only colour. The Lode has been drying out for weeks now and on the 19th the last trace of water at the Broad Lane bridge had disappeared. But the green reeds below the dun banks show the presence of moisture, an enduring presence somewhere in the fens. Colour reveals it.
