I took this picture in St Davids during June 2023. It’s of some unidentifiable bird species, but the ghostly image imprinted into the surface of the road reminds me of nothing so much as an archaeopteryx fossil. I would certainly have included it in my book Endings (see post 16th July 2023) if it had been available for the final edit.
