I’ve volunteered to take some photographs for the Cambridge Local Plan. Three particular challenges. First, how to make them relevant and not just gratuitous pictures to break up the text. Second, the requirement for portrait format, which is not how the urban environment is largely either planned or seen. Third, given current sensitivities about privacy, excluding too easily recognisable people (especially children), when what you need to convey is that planning is about people. Three examples here. Don’t know if they will be used.
