RSPB Titchwell

RSPB Titchwell, Norfolk, March 2026

The beach with remains of a WW2 bunker at RSPB Titchwell.  The birdwatchers are a dedicated army on a campaign against the elements and the wayward elusiveness of rare birds.  Some wear camouflage fatigues; they cradle bazooka-like extreme telephoto lenses; in another life tripods and telescopes across their backs might by AK47s.
