I’ve been given a new monitor to use with my PC. It’s a 21” LG Flatron and replaces my 18” Dell. The image is noticeably brighter and crisper and as a consequence photographs that I’ve been processing in Lightroom look slightly over exposed. The left hand image below is what I thought was right with the old monitor and the image on the right has been adjusted to the new one. There’s not much difference, but it’s significant. Given that people will be viewing this blog on all sorts of different monitors, I wonder what they will be seeing and what judgement they will make about the pictures posted.
