Two students from ARU spoke about music therapy, its power in both learning and unlocking memories, at the St Matthew’s ‘Slice of Life’ yesterday. I find often that songs can pin down events in my past where the date eludes me. Cilla Black singing ‘Red and yellow and pink and green’, the opening line of ‘I Can Sing a Rainbow’, takes me back to driving to Wales in a black Austin A30, POH 766, with my first serious girlfriend.
