A pleasantly mild day after some indifferent weather, good enough to be sitting outside Le Patissier in St John’s Street relaxing with D over coffee and cake. As we reminisced over the fun to be had with childhood chemistry sets the sky cleared and the sun turned St John’s College Chapel into a glowing honey-gold confection.
