Graham Wickens titled his talk Travelling Photography.
- Travel photography embraces many other genres, landscape, street, portraiture, food etc.
- Deciding on what equipment to take: less is best. One camera body with medium wide angle/telephoto lenses. Tripod optional.
- Think about security (carry equipment unobtrusively) and back-up pictures.
- Take pictures while travelling on trains, boats, planes, cable cars, horse and carts and hot air balloons etc.
- Avoid a night (or more) in jail by not photographing sensitive military and other infrastructure.
- When photographing people show respect – reactions will quickly show whether it’s acceptable.
