West Pier

Another active ruckenfigur.  A beach entertainer performs to the ghost of the West Pier.  What a pity Brighton was not as adroit at balancing the needs of conservation and development when the Pier was more than rusting scrap iron.

Remarkable – but he should at least be doing it over the water!
This is a good example of how a caption can alter the perception of what is going on. Without it, it would be a very mysterious image; with it, it’s still pretty odd!

Yes, a rope out to the pier would make it quite someting. Not a Twinj towers walk, but still dramatic.
I love Brighton – always full of these strange goings on.

How many lovely images can one man get from one visit to Brighton?
    The paddling pool is great.
As with Roy I also think your CD2 picture is the best of the night.

Thanks, Dave. There’s almost too much on offer in Brighton – getting what you do out of Romsey is much more of a challenge.
