Whittington

In Cheltenham for a few days, so an opportunity to refresh my memory of Whittington after almos 14 years.

St Bartholomew’s, Whittington, 2023. The first church on this site was erected in 1140. It was demolished in 1863 in favour of a new church on the present site.

    I remember the trip well Brian, a most enjoyable day – even the rather unexpected tour of Gloucestershire when we realised we’d gone miles out of our way!

      Yes, I remember that detour – glad you were driving!

      It was a good day. Looking back I see that the pictures I put on this blog then are awfully muddy – if I can find the time I’ll go back and reprocess them.

      The Press (now seems to be trading as Nomad Letterpress)is having another open day in September – I may try to get there as Matthew lives just 15 minutes away.
